I have such respect for this family & I am in love with this little girl. They have just returned home from Uganda - Sarah was adopted into this family & now is able to get the medical care she desperately needed to simply live. Adoptions are not cheap & medical care isn't either...I think these present communities with the opportunity to come along side & help one another out. 15% of the sales for the month of March of these boards will go to help The Levy family. 20% still goes to TAWV. So spread the word & let's all lend a hand.

There are lots of AWESOME changes brewing - I will certainly keep you all posted, but for now.....know that this is the beginning of something that will hopefully make an impact in the lives of many orphans on many different levels. Have you ever wished there were 1,000 hours in the day, that you had 8 arms & could fly? Well, that's how I feel about all of the work that needs to be done to help so many. And so many are helping! So in an effort to help them help others.....a minimum of 20% of all sales will go to care for orphans.....I'll be posting stories of people, children, organizations & so on on here. Heath & Neema's story is below - Heath is currently working with a great organization in Tanzania & is in the process of being a mommy to a little girl who needs one. And as mom, I am certain that this new mom could use a hand.

Meet Heath & Neema. Heath is a friend I have known for a while & someone I have watched God get a hold of & truly transform. Such a beautiful person with a beautiful story. There are few moments when they don't cross my mind - so join me in praying for them. They need our help & from now until the end of the year at least 20% of all orders will go to help Neema & Heath. I met Neema at Cradle of Love Baby Home in Arusha Tanzania in August 2008....read the rest of their story here

Helen & Hayes Shearer

For the month of May we would love to donate 20% of all orders to Helen & Hayes Shearer. The Shearer Family are friends of ours & 2 of their 3 precious children have cystic fibrosis. Here is a site to get more information www.cff.org/great_strides/helenshearer
There is also a walk to benefit the research & finding a cure for CF on May 16th. Our family participated last year & had a blast! It's so much more fun to paint with a purpose & if you feel the same & have a long list of gifts to buy - bring them on - I've armed & ready with paint brushes in hand! Spread the word....I'll call for reinforcement if needed....and I hope I need to actually.

I recently heard of a friend of a friend who is dealing with the struggles that come with cancer. She's a mom with young children so I can easily see myself in what she's going through. And I want to help. There are so many with stories such as this, but for the remainder of the month of April I would like to give 20% of all orders placed from today until the end of the month towards the mountain of medical bills that their family must be facing. Everyone needs to give a gift at some point, whether for a friend or even for yourself :) & it makes it all a little more meaningful if it is helping someone in the process.

The Name Board

My Mother in Law gave me a book with names, their meanings & a Scripture with each. She encouraged me to paint boards & put this information on the front. An amazing idea! It has been so much fun & the coolest part for me is hearing stories from different moms & dads about how they use these boards in their families. Some use it as a part of their bedtime rituals...they say their prayers & just before they tuck those babies in for the night....they stop by the board on the wall & pray these words with their child. Our daughter's name means "righteous" - which means, in right standing with God. We pray every night that she would grow into her name & be righteous! Our son's name means "gracious" & we pray that for him each night & the neat part there, is that I am learning a lot about what being gracious really means....

Anyway, this is part of what I do & here are some examples of others I have painted. If you are interested in ordering - I have a book that I use & can give you all of that information, I will use whatever colors & design you want (assuming I am capable of painting it :) ).

They are $22 so the perfect price for any baby gift. Actually, my Mother in Law is hanging the boards for all of her grandchildren on a wall.

Mirrors

These are new.

Having little people running around this house has let me see life in a new way. And one thing I see around me is the incredible influence this world, & its sometimes cruel opinions, can have on people. I believe that there are truths about us, as children in Christ, that need to be sewn in our hearts. I have an image in my head of little girls looking in the mirror to fix their hair one last time before they run out the door & the last words that are etched in their mind are that they are truly loved and accepted by the God of the universe. That is the motivation behind these mirrors.

They are $45. There are limited supply at a time because of having to order the different parts for the mirrors & the investment there. But check in, chances are good that I'm overstocked.
